The Committee provides events and valuable resources, including an Expert Panel, for those interested in Direct Mail and its role as a part of the multi-channel marketing mix.
Karen Kavanagh, Marketing Director, Neopost Ireland, Head of DM Sub Committee
Karen is the Marketing Director at Neopost Ireland and has 10 years’ marketing experience with a specialist skill in Marketing Communications. Karen holds the responsibility of managing the CRM function, product marketing, brand strategy and acquisition program. With a Diploma in Marketing Management and having completed IMI’s mini MBA programme, Karen has worked with many brands including Sage Ireland and Swiftcall Telecommunications. Previously on the judging panel of the An Post Direct Marketing Awards, Karen is a previous Gold and Bronze Direct Marketing Award winner and won the Marketing Communications award from DIT.

Peter Jones, Business Development Manager, Innovative Print Solutions
Peter is Business Development Manager for Innovative Print Solutions, one of Ireland leading Direct Mail and Security Print operations. Peter has worked in the Print and Direct Mail industry for over 25 years in a variety of sales led roles including the development of CRM service offerings, setting up direct mail production facilities acting as a frequent (unpaid) consultant for agencies! Peter hopes to bring a wealth of technical knowledge to the committee and represent the needs wants and desires of the printers and mailing companies within the IDMA.
Barry Faul, Creative Director, Dragon
Barry Faul is a firm believer in the power of the imagination. He has worked across all sectors of the marketing mix from digital campaigns for global clients to DM campaigns for Bank of Ireland. He knows that all creative work must provoke a consumer reaction. Creativity which engages and sometimes challenges. Creativity born out of a consumer insight. An insight to trigger a consumer response and place the product, brand or service top of mind. Barry is Creative Director with Dragon and was previously Creative Group Head with DMA, Creative Director with Strategem and Creative Director with Index Creative Communications.
Gavin Fox, Sales & Marketing Manager, Spectrum Print Logistics Limited
Gavin is a graduate and member of The Marketing Institute of Ireland, conferred with the Diploma of the European Marketing Confederation. He is also a qualified member of The Irish Institute of Training and Development. Gavin lectures part-time on the ICM Marketing Diploma course at the National College of Ireland. He has written a book on the subject of marketing, as well as several articles on marketing and customer service for The Marketing Institute of Ireland and Irish Marketing Journal. He has also provided training to hundreds of SME’s through business development programmes he has developed over the last decade.
Gavin joined Spectrum in 2011 as Sales and Marketing Manager, having previously spent 10 years with Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures. He also spent some time in the sports industry and was responsible for the launch of the Pelé Sports brand in Ireland. He brings with him his vast experience from working in business-to-business markets, having held various management-level positions in sales and marketing.
